Subject to the security related law, items that could be hazardous to aviation safety are restricted from being brought in on-board. The hazardous items should be carried with check-in baggage only.
The hazardous items are scissors, knives, fangs, tools, sporting goods, and all items that can be used as weapons on board.
Items that can be brought into cabin are listed at the Korea Transportation Safety Authority website.
In addition, dangerous goods below are prohibited from being brought into cabin.
- cumbustible and flammable substances, large quantities of lighters or matches, lighter gas, paint, synergies, etc.
camping equipment such as oil burner/ramp
- Portable butane gas can filled with highly compressed gas, versatile spray can,
scuba diving oxygen cylinders, oxygen cylinders
- weapons and explosives, guns, firecrackers, ammunition, gunpowder, self-defense tear gas injectors, lighter gas,
other hazardous items such as toxic/corrosive/radioactive/magnetic substances, harmful/stimulating substances, etc.
- Items likely to be harmful to passengers, crews, aircraft and loaded items
Please note that items found during carry-on baggage search may be confiscated or disposed for security purposes.
